JACKSON, Wyo. — The bustle of pre-COVID music releases in the spring was ramping up ahead of South by Southwest and Treefort Music Festival. Then the industry turned to sludge. With no touring and dismal opportunities to perform, many artists with albums and singles already in the bag tussled with whether to release them. The ones that chose to move forward left historical snapshots of their sound in a turbulent time.

Music publications have released their top albums of the year and radio stations are collecting their most spun songs of the year. Here’s a nod to notable artists in Teton County and across Wyoming that released music in 2020.
