JACKSON, Wyo. — Granite Creek Road is in poor condition, according to Forest Service officials.

The Bridger Teton N.F. Jackson District road that accesses Granite Hot Springs currently has numerous deep potholes, persistent standing water pockets, and minor slumps. Smaller passenger cars, RVs, and vehicles towing large trailers are not advised. High-clearance vehicles are strongly recommended.

Over the past few weeks, the road crew has been focusing on roads in the Kemmerer and Pinedale area. The Granite Creek road will be the first road the crew maintains once they begin work in the Jackson area, hopefully, the first week in August. Road crews will also be identifying work needed to improve the road for the long-term.
