JACKSON, Wyo. — Bridge inspections are underway this week on US26/89 and WY22.

Consor Engineering, contracted by the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT), is inspecting the bridge over the Snake River, south of Hoback Junction in the Snake River Canyon today.

To perform the inspection, crews are using a snooper truck, pick-up trucks and other equipment on the bridge deck.  These trucks will take up a single lane, reducing traffic to one lane over the bridge, says WYDOT.

Motorists will be flagged across the bridge in alternating directions.

Crews are expecting delays of up to 15 minutes, but delays could vary with traffic congestion.

A bridge inspection is scheduled to begin tomorrow on the Snake River bridge on WY22. The inspection is expected to be completed by Friday.
