UPDATE: Both lanes of road have been cleared and The Snake River Canyon has reopened.
ALPINE, WYO – Highway crews are working to clear debris from the road in Snake River Canyon. More than one mudslide following a flash hailstorm has closed Highway 26/89 with vehicles reportedly trapped between fallen rocks and earth.
No injuries have been reported at this time but the highway between Hoback Junction and Alpine is currently closed.
