JACKSON, Wyo. — For the fourth year in a row, Astoria Park Conservancy is preparing to recognize May as Mental Health Awareness Month (MHAM), offering a rich lineup of events and programs designed to promote mental well-being.

Since opening in 2020, Astoria has been committed to improving lives, welcoming thousands of visitors to its celebrated hot springs. Set along the riverfront, this peaceful haven offers a restorative retreat, where guests can soak in unique mineral waters and build meaningful connections within the community.

Astoria is passionate about empowering individuals with practical tools to support their mental health journey. Much like a lifeline tossed into rough waters, these tools — ranging from nature immersion, yoga and sound healing to guided meditation and breathwork — are shared through our wellness and critical service provider programs. Community events further nurture emotional resilience by fostering connection, support and a sense of belonging.

Throughout May, Astoria offers discounted tickets for local residents, inviting them to experience the healing properties of the hot springs with $5 weekday soaks, redeemable using the discount code: MHAM2025 when making reservations online at astoriapark.org. Note: Astoria Hot Springs is closed on Wednesday for cleaning and maintenance. ($5 plus tax, excludes weekends, holidays and closures. Available Monday through Friday using code MHAM2025 during May.)

About Astoria’s wellness programs

Astoria’s wellness programs are thoughtfully crafted to promote balance and harmony in participants’ lives. What truly sets them apart is the integration of hot springs into many of the healing practices, offering added layers of therapeutic benefit.

Water naturally soothes both body and mind. Being immersed creates a sense of weightlessness, helping to ease stress and release physical tension. Astoria’s mineral-rich hot springs — containing magnesium, sulfur and other healing elements — amplify these effects, making each experience both restorative and rejuvenating.

Astoria continues to uplift the Jackson Hole community through innovative, inclusive programming. In 2024, the nonprofit organization hosted a record number of offerings that served a wide range of individuals, improving access through initiatives like the Access Fund, which provides subsidized pricing and community-building passes.

Gratitude for a caring community

Astoria Park Conservancy is deeply grateful for its caring community of supporters in the mental health and wellness space — including donors, family foundations, grantors and the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole (CFJH). With its growing focus on addressing the mental health crisis, CFJH helped establish the Teton Behavioral Health Alliance (of which Astoria is a proud member), a collaborative effort to improve the behavioral health care system in Teton County. Astoria extends heartfelt thanks to the Mental Wellness Collaborative and its many dedicated wellness practitioners.
