JACKSON, Wyo. — The Snake River Fund (SRF) announced that the Astoria boat ramp is officially open as of Tuesday, April 8.

“Please keep in mind that early season conditions still exist, so dress properly, wear a PFD and have your safety and rescue gear available at all times,” the SRF wrote on Instagram. “Stay safe and fun out there!”

According to the SRF, the life jacket loaner kiosk is currently not stocked but will be soon.

Teton County Parks and Recreation opened the Wilson and South Park boat ramps in March. River access details for Grand Teton National Park have yet to be announced for the season.

The SRF encourages recreationists to check river conditions before heading out.
