JACKSON, Wyo. — A round of appaws is in order — musher Anny Malo won the 2026 Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race over the weekend, marking her seventh overall win.
Malo was crowned after the seventh and final stage in the weeklong race on Saturday in Lander. She won the Lander leg with a time of 1:45:34 on the 26.2-mile course through Shoshone National Forest, taking her seven-day total to 13:31:27. Behind Malo was Remy Coste in second place with an overall time of 13:37:04, and Bruce Magnusson in third with 13:43:58. In fourth place was Stéphane Roy with 14:22:06, and in fifth was Bondurant’s Alix Crittenden with an overall time of 14:23:05.
“It’s like a family gathering around the same passion,” Malo told Buckrail ahead of the race.
Malo, who hails from Quebec, first won the Stage Stop as a rookie in 2019. This year, her son Tristan Rivest competed on Malo’s second team.

The sled dog race kicked off in Jackson with a ceremonial race starting on Town Square, followed by daily competitive stages in Pinedale, Big Piney/Marbleton and Kemmerer. Mushers were competing for a $200,000 purse.
“Congratulations to all race teams for another great Stage Stop!” Race Director Dan Carter said in a statement. “Thanks to all the race crew and volunteers. A special thank you to Pedigree and the Mars family for all you do to support this wonderful event. We can’t wait to do it again next year.”
