DRIGGS, Idaho — Last night, the Community Foundation of Teton Valley hosted the fifteenth annual Tin Cup Challenge Awards Ceremony, which brought nonprofit leaders, donors and volunteers, together to celebrate the results of the 2022 Tin Cup Challenge.
Community Foundation’s Executive Director, Tim Adams, announced the results to a packed crowd.
“This year, we had our most successful Tin Cup Challenge yet, breaking records once again and raising an astounding $2,503,922,” said Adams.
This year’s total funds raised reflect a 13% increase over last year. Gifts from Business & Community Challengers, Friends, and Supporters aggregate the Challenger Fund, totaling $985,948 – which is an increase of 19% over last year. Designated gifts raised by participating nonprofits brought in an amazing $1,517,974, which is an increase of 10% over last year.
1,308 donors gave during this year’s Tin Cup Challenge – meaning that one in four Teton Valley households participated in charitable giving through the 2022 Tin Cup Challenge. In fifteen years, the Tin Cup Challenge has raised $20.8 million for the health and well-being of Teton Valley, a community of eleven thousand plus residents.
Adams reiterated that nonprofits have been “steadfast in making sure that services, programs, and support were never compromised. Our great community saw this commitment and stepped up to support them financially, through volunteerism, and by sharing talents. The individuals you see here tonight illustrate the heart of philanthropy in our community.”
