UPDATE: Sublette County Sheriff’s Office, The AMBER alert out of Fremont County has been cancelled. Child has been located.

Many residents received an Amber Alert emergency notice direct on their cellphone earlier this afternoon. The alerts are broadcast using the Emergency Alert System or EAS. The official EAS is designed to enable the President of the United States to speak to the United States within 10 minutes ( You may recall the October 3 test ) as well as alert the public of local weather emergencies such as tornadoes and flash floods.
