UNITED STATES — “What is: Time to brush up on Western geography?”

Long-running trivia TV show “Jeopardy!” featured a clue about Jackson Hole on its Oct. 15 episode, but it seems the three contestants were not familiar with the Teton region. The clue appeared in the category “The Hole Truth” during the Double Jeopardy round.

“The T.A. Moulton barn has an epic backdrop — the Teton range in this valley,” host Ken Jennings read aloud as the contestants were shown a photo of the barn and mountains.

“What is: the Yosemite Valley?” contestant Tafari Mbadiwe ventured.

“What is: the Bitterroot Valley?” contestant Chris McGinn tried.

“What is: the Yellowstone Valley?” contestant Delaney O’Dea attempted.

“This is Jackson Hole,” Jennings said. “Remember the category.”

Each contestant was dinged $1,200 for answering incorrectly.

Jackson was featured as a “Jeopardy!” clue last year, too. In that game, a contestant correctly responded to: “Economists get a taste of the outdoors at the central banking annual conferences in Jackson Hole in this state.” Better luck next time, players!
