JACKSON, Wyo. — Airport construction crews have been working around the clock to keep construction on-schedule, and it’s working.

Inside the terminal, restaurant basement excavation is almost complete. A fire suppression system is being installed in the hold room and security checkpoint.

Meanwhile on the runway, crews are on schedule and almost halfway done! They’ll reach the halfway point this Thursday, May 19.

Exterior slot drains are all installed.

Major FAA Navigational Aids have also all been relocated. For the interested pilots out there, those are:

  • MALS
  • PAPIs
  • Glideslope
  • Localizer

Taxiways A1 and A4 have been completely milled and removed. Crews have now begun rebuilding the base courses for the new runways and taxiways.
