JACKSON, Wyo. — It’s the last call to help deliver joy through One22 Resource Center’s Holiday Gift Drive. The annual drive—which wraps up on Tuesday, Dec. 10—pairs donors with hundreds of individuals (adults, seniors and children) who need assistance with holiday gifts. For families in our community struggling to make ends meet, having a special gift to look forward to at this time of year can make a tremendous impact.

Those interested in supporting the Holiday Gift Drive can visit one22jh.org/holiday-gift-drive and choose to either make a monetary donation that will support the program or purchase gifts directly from One22’s wish list registry. One22 has already begun purchasing some gifts to ensure they arrive in time for the holiday season.

“Donations of any and all sizes allow special projects like this to be true community efforts,” said One22’s Director of Community Engagement, Seadar Rose Davis. “We are deeply moved by the generosity that fuels this drive each year, making the season merrier for those in need.”

With support from nonprofit partners, One22 collects wish lists from local households. This year, the organization utilized online registries for all wish list items. Donors visit the registries and choose as many items as their budget allows and either ship the items directly to One22 (preferred) or deliver them to the One22 office on Dec. 9 and 10. The organization asks that gifts be delivered unwrapped.

In years past, the organization invited donors to “sponsor” families, but realized this created budget limitations for many who wanted to support the drive. By changing to a registry system, supporters can select gifts from a wide range of prices.

One22’s Holiday Gift Drive operates in partnership with a variety of local nonprofits that refer families to the program. The organization also collaborates with a number of local entities – Bank of Jackson Hole, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church, the Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole and St. John’s Episcopal Church – to place angel trees around town that help spread awareness of the event.
