YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — A serious winter storm in northwestern Wyoming has led Yellowstone National Park (YNP) to advise that visitors not travel to or inside the park today.
YNP issued the alert around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, citing hazardous road conditions and temporary closures.
“Travel to and in Yellowstone National Park is not advised due to a significant winter storm,” the alert said. “Some park roads are temporarily closed due to winter weather and hazardous driving conditions.”
The park’s East and South entrances have been closed on and off for the past two days, and major road closures will take effect beginning Wednesday, Nov. 1.
After the storm passes and conditions improve, park roads and entrances might reopen. For up-to-date information, see Yellowstone’s park roads website.
