CODY, Wyo. — The East and South Entrances to Yellowstone National Park (YNP) are closed temporarily on Wednesday, Oct. 25 as of 11:30 a.m., according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).
Highways US20 and US16, which lead to the East Entrance from the Cody area, are both closed due to winter conditions.
The West, South and East Entrances will officially close for the season, along with most park roads, on Wednesday, Nov. 1. The East Entrance closed yesterday for similar weather.
