As of 10 a.m. on Friday, May 24, YNP’s Dunraven Pass remains closed. The East Entrance, the road connecting the East Entrance to Fishing Bridge Junction, the South Entrance and the South Entrance Road were closed on Thursday night, but all appear to be open as of Friday morning. Check Yellowstone’s park roads website for the most up-to-date intel on road closures.

“Anticipate additional road closures due to inclement weather and dangerous driving conditions,” YNP’s news release said. “Temporary travel restrictions or closures can occur at any time without notice. Have flexible travel plans and watch for quickly changing weather conditions. Roads and entrances will reopen once conditions improve.”

In addition, the park announced that it has delayed the opening of Beartooth Highway, which had been scheduled to open on Friday, May 24, due to “significant snowfall” and hazardous driving conditions. The highway is located east of the park’s Northeast Entrance, between Red Lodge and Cooke City, Montana.
