WILSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT), along with contract crews from Ames Construction, will be repairing potholes on the Snake River bridge and connecting construction sites on Wednesday, Feb. 21, the agency announced.
Road surfaces will be repaired at the intersection of Wyoming State Highway 22 and Wyoming State Highway 390 “because of excessive deterioration,” WYDOT said. Work will be carried out from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be reduced to one lane at lower speeds while patching is completed. Flaggers will direct traffic.
“Drivers are advised to obey all traffic control signs and plan accordingly for delays that will occur through the work zones,” the announcement said. “WYDOT advises travelers to expect delays and encourages drivers to avoid the area during work hours. Crews are working to alleviate road damage on the bridge to ease commuting through the construction project during the winter.”
The work is expected to be completed on Wednesday, depending on weather. Traffic delays will vary based on the time it takes for the material to cure, which is sensitive to temperature, according to WYDOT.
