WILSON, Wyo. — On the same day the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) announced that work on the Big Fill Slide had ceased for the winter season, the agency shared a video detailing the Teton Pass repair project.
In the video, WYDOT’s Public Affairs Officer Doug McGee and Resident Engineer Bob Hammond walk viewers through the project, explaining how the road is being fortified after it collapsed this summer.
Hammond spoke with Buckrail earlier this year about the project, noting that the new building material used at the site will be key to the road’s structural stability. WYDOT has previously announced that work on the project is expected to resume in April 2025, with the goal of a completed permanent road by July 2025.
