Work on 390 will move around some beginning next week Road surface Buckrail Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Crews are finishing up the milling on the north end of Highway 390 and then will head down south towards the intersection of 390 and Wyo22.

Earlier this week crews were paving a test strip but ran into some delays. They will start another test strip tonight. As long as everything goes well with the test strip, the contractor will continue to pave north of the bridge over Granite Creek at road marker 3.8 until it is completed.

The contractor will then work on paving on the south half.

Where the contractor begins work on the south end will depend on what time they move their operation down there. If its earlier in the evening, they will begin somewhere away from the intersection. If it is after 11pm some time, they may start at the intersection.

Next week, there will be an additional paver that will be working on approaches, so residents will see paving on the mainline and their approaches, as well as any milling operations that may still be finishing up. Where they start from night to night all depends on how far they get the night before.

Wyoming Department of Transportation will also be performing erosion control work near the Flat Creek Bridge between Mad River Tours and Smith’s on next Wednesday, August 8. Crews will be shutting down one lane of traffic and closing the bike path through the area. The work will only take one day and crews will be in the area from 6:30am to 5:00pm.

WYDOT is recommending residents and commuters take note of the situation and allow yourself ample time to reach your destination, as well as obey all advisories and closures.

WYDOT would like to remind drivers to slow down when driving in adverse conditions, be alert and cautious of roadside workers and obey all traffic control devices.
