CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The woman accused of setting fire to a Casper, Wyoming, abortion clinic in 2022 has reached a plea deal ahead of her trial, according to the Associated Press.

Paperwork for Lorna Roxanne Green’s change of plea was filed Monday in U.S. District Court for Wyoming. Green had entered a plea of not guilty in early June. Her trial is set for July 24. If convicted, Green faces between five and 20 years in prison as well as a $250,000 fine.

Green has been accused of setting a fire at the under-construction Wellspring Health Access Clinic, which she admitted was motivated by her personal opposition to abortion. Green told authorities that the opening of the new clinic was giving her anxiety and nightmares.

Abortions remain legal in Wyoming after a Teton County judge granted a temporary restraining order against enforcing the state’s medication abortion ban in June.
