JACKSON HOLE, WYO – The arrival of winter is corresponding with the calendar this year. The season’s first significant snow and cold arrived yesterday and looks to continue through the weekend with a short break early Sunday.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service through tomorrow. Snow and windy conditions will make travel a bit more challenging this evening through Sunday morning. Forecast calls for 1-2 inches by the end of the day with an additional 2-4 on tap, overnight.
Meanwhile, temps won’t get north of mid-20s for highs through the weekend and Christmas Day, with overnight lows dipping to the low teens. Some snow is in the forecast every day next week to close out the year.
The total snowfall predicted might not be a blizzard forecast but it’s enough to sharpen our driving skills and hit the slopes.
