JACKSON, Wyo. — Did somebody ask for more snow?
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory for the Teton and Gros Ventre mountain ranges, in effect from 11 p.m. Monday until 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
NWS is calling for “total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches. Locally higher amounts of 12 to 18 inches in the higher elevations with amounts nearing 2 feet in the Tetons. Winds may gust as high as 45 mph at times.”
As such, driving over Teton and Togwotee Passes is expected to be hazardous, particularly during heavier periods of snowfall on Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning, NWS warns.
