JACKSON, Wyo. — Evan Jones is a committed St. John’s Health Trustee running for election.
“In 2021, I read about the challenges facing St. John’s following the pandemic,” shares Jones. “With decades of experience as a healthcare CEO and hospital trustee, I felt I could help the hospital.”
After being appointed to the Board in 2022, Jones got to work working with his fellow Trustees to rebuild trust, leadership and financial stability at St. John’s Health.

Jones co-chaired the CEO Search Committee and helped recruit the hospital’s new CEO, Jeff Sollis. He currently chairs the Strategy Committee that completed a five year Strategic Planning initiative. Jones is also a member of the Finance & Facilities Committee, which has successfully addressed employee housing with the ongoing construction and development of more than 80 housing units at the King & Karns and Hitching Post locations.
“A strong and independent healthcare system is vital to the vibrancy and success of rural communities like ours,” Jones says. “It has been my honor to serve and help lead the hospital through a turbulent time back to financial stability. I am running for election because I want to continue the great work we have accomplished and help St. John’s Health continue to provide outstanding healthcare.”

Jones has more than 30 years of senior management and investment experience in life sciences and healthcare industries. He was a public company CEO for 20 years. He also served as Vice Chair of the Board for the Children’s National Hospital, Washington, DC, and Board Chairman for the Children’s Research Institute. He founded or helped start several successful companies and he has extensive experience in board leadership of large hospital systems and health advocacy organizations.
