JACKSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) is hosting a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, August 5, at 7 p.m. to discuss and hear input on proposed changes to the management of two regional wildlife populations.

The proposed changes are regarding the management objectives for the Targhee Elk Herd and the Palisades Mountain Goat Herd. Attendees of the meeting will get the chance to hear about the history, management challenges and current status of both herds.

In addition to the meeting, which will review the specifics of the proposed objective changes, there is also a survey to fill out for anyone interested in the proposals. Wildlife managers will use the information collected through the meeting and the survey to make decisions about the changes.

All of the findings will be presented to the Game and Fish Commission at a September meeting in Lander.
