JACKSON, Wyo. — Starting on Wednesday, Nov. 22, the Hoback Junction South County Road 22-33 will be subject to a 35,000-pound gross vehicle weight (GVW) limit, Teton County announced Wednesday.
The weight limit is intended to reduce damage to the road under wintery conditions. On July 5, the max weight had been raised to 60,000 pounds, according to the county.
“This order complies with the U.S. Forest Service rules in regard to Johnny Counts Road, a Forest Service Road,” the county’s memo said.
Emergency vehicles and critical services, including propane delivery and refuse collection, are exempt from the restriction. The Teton County Sheriff’s Office will enforce the weight limit.
