JACKSON, Wyo. — A water service line leak and a fire line leak are currently being repaired near 50 West Broadway Avenue, in the vicinity of the Pink Garter plaza, requiring water to be turned off for the area.

Town of Jackson (TOJ) Public Information Officer Wanna Johansson told Buckrail that TOJ was notified of the repair work around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Water is expected to be back on and running by 5:30 p.m. at the latest. TOJ Engineering Division and the private contractors said that water pressure is being tested, and when that is done, the water will be turned back on.

A downtown business has a right-of-way permit to repair the two leaks. Contractors told TOJ that neighbors on the block had been notified of the water shutdown.
