JACKSON, Wyo. — The Walton Levee, a popular recreation spot along the Snake River near Emily’s Pond (also referred to as “the dike”), will see heavy truck traffic for the next two weeks, according to Teton County.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be using trucks to haul riprap levee rock along the Walton Levee, from Emily Stevens Park to the Teton County Stockpile Facility, a distance of approximately 0.65 miles, Teton County’s announcement states.
Work will be carried out on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and running through Friday, Aug. 29. Anyone walking and recreating along the levee near Emily’s Pond is encouraged to be alert in the presence of this truck traffic.
