Watch DW’s Holiday Classic virtually and help them meet their match

JACKSON, Wyo. — For the past 50 years in the majestic community of Jackson Hole, Dancers’ Workshop has produced their own rendition of a holiday classic on stage featuring students from The School at DW, their very own Junior Repertory Company and Contemporary Dance Wyoming.

This year, the magic of their Winter Production continues in a special way… viewable from the coziness of your own homes!

DW’s Holiday Film Feature, Nutcracker Sweets, will be available to watch virtually on December 25. Upon your donation of any denomination from $25 (the in-person ticket price), you will receive exclusive access to this year’s holiday film feature beginning on December 25.

“(This year’s holiday classic) is a little bit of acting and a little bit of dancing, all combined,” said DW student Ashlyn Fadala, who is performing as the Rat Queen in the Nutcracker Sweet’s performance. “We are creating a movie because we can’t have an actual performance with people and an audience, so we are hoping we can get that out to people.”

“I’ve been in the winter production for five plus years,” added Ashlyn “I had a hard time coming to terms that I won’t be performing in front of an audience for my last year, but I’m really trying to make the most of it.”

Ashlyn, a senior at Jackson Hole High School and member of the Junior Repertory Company, will be incorporating elements of her background in movement to apply toward her higher education studies after graduation.

“When I graduate, I’m thinking about going into sports medicine, which has to do with movement and athletics,” said Ashlyn.

Although DW is unable to be in person this year for their holiday classic, they are excited as ever to still be a part of your holiday traditions.

DW’s Annual Holiday Match Challenge is also here and DW needs your help to meet their match of $80,000. A generous donation of $37,500 has already been given by an anonymous donor and First Republic Bank! Donations of any size are greatly appreciated.

Tis the season for giving. DW is so grateful!
