JACKSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has announced a closure of US 191/189 through Hoback River Canyon this evening at 5 p.m. for avalanche mitigation.
WYDOT noted that reduced visibility, winter driving conditions and increasing avalanche hazard could lead to an earlier closure.
“Highway travelers and backcountry users are advised to plan accordingly,” WYDOT said in a press release. “Thank you for your cooperation.”
