ALPINE, Wyo. — Two girls who were taken by their mother from Alpine, Wyoming, with no contact since Feb. 24. have been reunited with their father after 74 days.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has been looking for the two girls, Tamzen and Lily, and their mother Stephanie who LCSO reported was suffering from paranoid delusions and hallucinations.
According to the WSB-TV News in Atlanta, Stephanie was arrested after police said she left her two children alone overnight in a van at a Walmart parking lot in Duluth, Georgia. As of May 9, she is now facing charges of reckless conduct for leaving her children unsupervised, who claimed they hadn’t seen her since the day before the police found them.
“The father is now in Georgia working to get them back to home to Wyoming,” WSB-TV News says. “He is hopeful to get his wife help once she’s released from the Gwinnett County Jail.”
