JACKSON, Wyo. — While the Christmas tree drop off point at the Rodeo Grounds is now closed, the Teton County Trash Transfer Station will continue to accept Christmas trees to compost until the end of January.

Residents that still need to dispose of their festive decor can bring their trees for free to the Trash Transfer Station during regular business hours through Jan. 31.

Trees should be cleaned of lights, tinsel, decorations, stands and trash. Collected trees are processed locally and will be recycled into mulch and compost, which will reduce landfill waste and support sustainable landscaping across the community.
