
JACKSON, Wyo. — The Town of Jackson will observe Veterans Day this Thursday Nov. 11, 2021 with a memorial ceremony and the 2nd Annual Veterans Day Walk/Ruck/Run.
The American Legion Post #43 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4274 will host a Veterans Day Memorial Ceremony service on the Town Square at 11 a.m.
Additionally, The Jackson Police Department will host the 2nd Annual Veterans Day Walk/Ruck/Run which will begin at the Town Square following the ceremony. Members of the community are invited to join this event to commemorate Veterans while collecting food donations. It is a free event and open to all.
Details are as follows:
Following the ceremony participants can begin an 11.11 mile walk, ruck march or run through Jackson.
The Jackson Police Department has asked that participants arrive with 35 pounds of non-perishable food (which will be donated to the Jackson Cupboard). Participants can leave this food at the Town Square (or drop it off in a collection box at Town Hall (150 E. Pearl Avenue)). Those who wish to ruck march will carry their donation with them and turn it over to the Jackson Cupboard upon completion.
Non participants who would like to donate food, but do not wish to walk/ruck march/run can drop off any amount of non-perishable food items either at the Town Square on Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. or anytime at the Town Hall.

Town Hall Administrative Offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 11. Town Hall will re-open at 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 12.
