JACKSON, Wyo. — The Town Pump is back on this summer, beginning tomorrow June 1.

The bouldering series takes place every Tuesday from June 1 through August 17 from 6-8 p.m. at the Teton Boulder Park.

Participation is open to everyone with opportunities to compete individually or in teams of up to 4 people.

Participants have two hours to climb and complete as many problems as time allows Although participants can climb as many problems as they want, only their top five problems will be scored. Scoring is based on the honor system. Individuals and teams record their own scores on scorecards.

A youth division is available for climbers under 14.

The Town Pump is a not-for-profit collaboration between Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Department and volunteers from the Jackson Hole climbing community. According to the Town Pump website, The Pump generates money for climbing holds for the Teton Boulder Park and fosters camaraderie in the absence of the town’s climbing gym, which closed in 2014.
