JACKSON, Wyo. — The Nov. 8 general election is right around the corner and in an effort to inform voters about their local candidates, The League of Women Voters, Teton County Library and local media organizations are teaming up to bring the community live election forums.

The first two forums are this evening, Sept. 21 at the Teton County Library in the Ordway Auditorium. Senate District 17 begins at 6 p.m. followed by Hospital Board at 6:30 p.m.

Media panelists from Jackson Hole News&Gude, 89.1 KHOL, Wyofile and Buckrail will ask questions this evening.

Senate District 17 candidates include Mike Gierau (D), Steve Duerr (R) and Amanda Padilla (L).

The Hospital Board candidates include Lou Hochheiser, Tim Rieser, Evan Jones, Brent Blue, Pam Cutler, Michael L. Tennican, Katharine Conover-Keller and Shannon A Brennan.

There will be opportunities for the public to ask questions during each forum. If you can’t make it in person, a recording will be available on the Teton County Library website tomorrow.
