JACKSON HOLE, WYO – The Youth Career Expo is just around the corner. The annual event will be held on April 17, 2019 from 1:45 – 4:00pm at the Jackson Hole High School in the Gymnasium.
The purpose of the Expo is to allow students, employers and volunteer agencies the opportunity to network. First and foremost, Youth Career Expo connects students with employers. Secondly, the expo enlightens students about the world of work and volunteering—or what it means to be a contributing member of our community and a lifelong learner and valuable employee.
To reserve a table, please visit the website.
Tables and tablecloths will be provided along with a placard with the name of your business. Set up time is 1:30pm and students will arrive around 1:50pm.
The Jackson Hole High School Counseling Department would also love for you to represent your alma mater during the Career Expo. The goal is to give students an opportunity to explore college options, college majors, and possible careers these majors can lead to.
The Counseling Department is looking for all types of schools to be represented—various campus sizes, public and private colleges or universities, technical schools, community colleges, military academies, rural and urban campuses, etc.
“We also encourage you to reach out to your college or university admissions office to see if they will provide you with any fun items to help you represent your school,” said Jennie Swentosky, Workforce Specialist with the Jackson Workforce Center.
If interested in representing your alma mater, please sign up by completing this form. Questions? Email Tavi Brandenburg. Please bring with you materials that you would like to give out to the students or to advertise your business or alma mater.
If you have any questions regarding the Career Expo please contact Jennie Swentosky or Jacqueline Stewart or call (307) 733-4091.
Jackson Workforce Center is asking for raffle donations from local businesses to be raffled off to the students who participate in the Youth Career Expo. Your donation of any size item or gift certificate would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering a donation for the annual Youth Expo!
