Time to kick it (like it’s 1986): Rendezvous Fest
JACKSON, WY— Hopefully you’re not too worn out from College Rendezvous in Teton Village last weekend, because the party continues this Thursday–Sunday as Rendezvous Spring Festival kicks off. There will be more live Music Under The Tram, plus shows in the Town Square and headliner Portugal. The Man will bring down the house in Teton Village on Saturday Night. This year, all concerts are FREE!
The Devon Allman Project will rock the stage under the tram starting Thursday at 5, featuring special guest Duane Betts. True to the family name, Devon Allman is a staunch proponent of authentic Southern blues. But his legacy now lives less in the name and more in the sheer talent—Allman has collected an impressive amount of his own accolades.
The action moves into the Town Square on Friday with country-blues-rock artist Frankie Ballard taking the stage at 5 pm. The evening’s headliner The Mavericks will shut the night down with genre-defying blend of nontraditional country, Latin sounds, and likeable rock tunes.
Saturday’s opening act is a name we all know and love: Michael Franti and Spearhead. Franti will play the main stage at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, set up in the base parking lot adjacent to the Tram building. Grammy award-winning duo Portugal. The Man has played festival stages around the world thanks to the success of their hit song “Feel it Still,” and will add the JHMR stage to their repertoire Saturday night. Both main stage performances are FREE this year, and the venue opens at 3 pm.
Finally, local favorite Chanman Roots Band will close the weekend out Sunday afternoon under the tram. Expect original reggae and roots songs alongside covers of favorites like Bob Marley.
Parking at Teton Village will be EXTREMELY limited, so concert-goes are encouraged to ride the START bus, ride your bike or walk. Parking is $30 at Cody and the Ranch Lot after 1 pm. Driving to Stilson is another great option as there will be dedicated Stilson busses running between the Stilson Lot and Teton Village from 4pm until 11pm. Supplemental START busses will be giving rides after the concert as well.
