WYOMING — The U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) Riverton reported that thunderstorms on Thursday, July 3, and Friday, July 4, could lead to the potential of flash floods in the western part of the state.
The NWS wrote on Facebook that moisture levels will increase significantly, along with slow moving thunderstorms.
“Showers and thunderstorms become more prevalent Thursday and Friday and could bring an isolated flash flood risk,” the NWS wrote. “Remember to be aware of your surroundings and never drive through a flooded road.”
The NWS rated the potential threat level for flash flooding as “medium risk,” as of Tuesday, July 1.
