JACKSON, Wyo. — This Memorial Day, The Town of Jackson is paying tribute to the fallen men and women who served in the U.S. Military.
The Jackson Town Hall will be closed on Monday, May 31 in observance of the holiday. Town Hall will re-open on Tuesday, June 1 at 8 a.m.
The American Legion Post No. 43 will be holding a Memorial Day ceremony in the George Washington Park (Town Square) starting at 10 a.m.
Mayor Hailey Morton Levinson signed a proclamation honoring all of the men and women who have died while serving in the U.S. Military.
In the proclamation, the Mayor urges “everyone to remember those who have lost their lives in service to our country, together with their families, and to say a prayer of thanks for all those who have served.”
“The men and women deployed at home and abroad remind us that there are people today who attempt to deprive us of our freedom and undermine our nation’s very foundation of ‘Liberty for All’.”
