JACKSON, Wyo. — Quickly becoming one of the most thrilling winter events in the region, Teton Valley’s “Grand Showdown” Skijoring competition will take place Feb. 22 and 23 and will showcase a weekend of high-speed action and fierce competition where top competitors from across the country will battle for big prizes and the coveted buckle.
The atmosphere is lively and energetic, with spectators witnessing skiers and snowboarders flying through the course — navigating gates, clearing jumps and collecting rings — all while being pulled by riders on racing horses.
Whether you’re a lifelong fan of winter sports or new to the exciting world of skijoring, this event has something for everyone. Families can enjoy the excitement on the course, along with a variety of activities and plenty of food trucks and drink vendors to keep everyone fueled up for the day. New this year is an evening at Guidepost Brewing Company, where you’ll find a western auction and live performance by country singer Jared Rogerson.
