Teton Valley hears launch of a new choir

TETON VALLEY, Ida. — Seniors West of the Tetons [SWOT] announces the creation of a new community choir meeting Wednesdays at the organization’s Community Center location.

The group, calling themselves “The Sing for Fun Choir” is free and open to the public of all ages with a current participants line-up spanning beginner to professional level experience.

SWOT board of directors member, Linda Wilner has organized the group with help from veteran musician/director, Lars Marmsater.  The pair have jointly lead the choir through its first evening rehearsals. Early numbers ranged classical to contemporary favorites as well as carols to mark the recently passed holiday season.

The Sing For Fun Choir, currently eight members strong, meets again on the Wednesdays of January 8 and 22 at 6 p.m.
