TETON VALLEY, IDA – The Teton Valley Foundation (TVF) board of directors announced Lauren Bennett as the organization’s new executive director.

Bennett was previously the event director for Bubble Run, the largest experiential 5K company in the country, where she oversaw the planning and execution of large-scale events from Boise to Hawaii. Prior to that, she was the event coordinator for the Downtown Driggs Community Association in charge of executing two of Teton Valley’s most celebrated events: SnowScapes and Driggs Plein Air.

Board chair John Fisher said, “On behalf of the board, I am thrilled to welcome Lauren, and her depth of event planning and sports recreation experience to our organization. Change brings opportunity, and under Lauren’s leadership TVF will remain committed to continued program excellence.”

Bennett replaces outgoing director Erica Linnell, who announced her departure in December 2017. She will take over duties on beginning February 12.

“It goes without saying that we are grateful for the past four years of stewardship by outgoing ED, Erica Linnell, who will work to transition with Lauren in February. As you see Lauren at the ice rink or at Music on Main, please introduce yourself and share your TVF story,” Fisher added.

Bennett has a master’s degree in Sports Administration and brings a wealth of knowledge in program development. Her passion for sports began at an early age and led to a career dedicated to working in recreational and cultural programming. She has seen firsthand the effects such programs have on a community and is excited to further TVF’s mission.
