WILSON, Wyo. — Join the raptors of Jackson Hole tomorrow at a holiday themed event that will include the opportunity to meet a live bird.

The Teton Raptor Center in Wilson will host Winter Wings & Holiday Cheer on Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. The Raptor Center bills the event as a chance to “celebrate the season with treats, treasures and talons.”

The holiday gathering will feature cookies, light refreshments and gift shopping. Bring the whole family to make crafts and enjoy educational displays in the Raptor Center’s Learning Lab.

From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., there will be a live “avian ambassador” presented at the event. The live bird could be one of the nine resident raptors that lives at the avian rehabilitation center, which include an American kestrel, a burrowing owl, a barn owl, a golden eagle, a peregrine falcon, a Swainson’s hawk, a turkey vulture and two red-tailed hawks.
