JACKSON, Wyo. — Today, Teton Pass closed for nearly 12 hours. The initial closure began at 3 a.m. for avalanche mitigation but was extended until 2 p.m. due to dangerous driving conditions brought on by heavy snow and strong winds.

At 11:30 a.m., WYDOT estimated the reopening time to be anywhere from seven to nine hours.
