JACKSON, Wyo. — A new online resource for future high school grads has been rolled out by Teton Literacy Center, with funding from the John P. Ellbogen Foundation.

The “Roadmap to College & Careers” strives to be a one-stop hub for college and career readiness. The website offers guidance and resources for those interested in college, the trades, the workforce or the military.

“We wanted to make a resource that speaks to the diverse goals of our community’s youth and gives families the tools to support them,” Teton Literacy Center Executive Director Carisa Barnett said via press release.

According to the press release, the website was designed with local input and “built around the needs of both students and parents.” The website has grade-specific checklists, starting with the 9th grade, college planning timelines, application tools, financial aid resources, a page for career exploration and a dedicated corner for parents.

In addition to post-high school resources, the platform also offers information about community resources, like mental health services, food assistance and medical support.

“This platform is about illustrating the many options to achieve success and giving our students the confidence and resources to pursue it,” said Barnett.
