JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton Habitat will bring back its Gingerbread House Showcase to the Wort Hotel on Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Goldpiece Room. Guests can expect to see an array of “frosting-covered creations” throughout the day.

The houses, built by student teams from Jackson Elementary School, are designed for the community to vote on and admire. The winning team will receive a classroom plaque along with gift certificates for a free breakfast or lunch entree at the Wort.

“This event beautifully captures what Teton Habitat is all about: creativity, collaboration, and community,” Teton Habitat’s Jason Bruni said in a statement. “Each gingerbread house represents the joy of building something meaningful together.”

Proceeds from the showcase will go to the $15 million challenge grant Teton Habitat received in 2024. All money raised will support Teton Habitat’s affordable housing programs in Teton County, including the Northern South Park plot, which could house up to 200 new homes for locals.
