Teton County Library has a wealth of digital resources that you might not know about. They’re free and you can access them from home. Simply click on the Digital Content tab on their website for links to all the services.
Overdrive: Overdrive is a digital book and audiobook rental service free to everyone with a Wyoming library card. Simply sign in using your library card number and pin. Rent kindle or other digital books for nine days. They have millions of titles for adults and children, and you don’t even need to visit the library to rent a book.
Hoopla: Hoopla is a free audiobook, digital book, music, and movie service offered by Teton County Library. Create a username and enter your library card and pin for full access. The service doesn’t have a huge selection compared to other streaming services, but with apps for Chromecast, Apple TV, and Roku, it’s a nice addition to your home streaming services. Did I mention that it’s free?
RB Digital: rb digital allows patrons to download and keep magazine issues. Create a username and password, enter your library number and pin, and begin downloading magazines. I was skeptical at first, but was able to find all my favorites including National Geographic, Climbing Magazine, and The Economist. That’s right. It’s free.
Lynda: Lynda is the library’s free unlimited learning platform. “I use it for photography all the time” said Kurt Plagge, Teton County Library’s Reference Librarian/Supervisor. “You can learn to code, start your own business, play banjo.”
