JACKSON, Wyo. — During a regular school board meeting on the evening of Nov. 11, the board decided that the Teton County School District #1 (TCSD) will transition to remote learning for all students from Nov. 16-30.

Face-to-face instruction is planned to begin on Monday, Nov. 30. TCSD board members based the decision on updated data, specifically the number of teachers out on isolation or quarantine orders.

In a COVID-19 update, posted on each school’s website, TCSD explained the decision, “We simply do not have enough staffing to continue providing face to face instruction as we have been doing since the beginning of the school year.” The transition to distance learning will be handled by each school individually.

Beginning Nov. 16, all activities and athletic events including games and practices will be canceled. At this time, The Jackson Hole High School Broncs football team is still scheduled to play against Cody for the State Championship on Nov. 14.
