JACKSON, Wyo. — Know a kid who wants to head into the backcountry? It’s never too early to help them get prepared.
Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) will host a winter youth workshop called “What’s In Your Pack?” on Wednesday, Dec. 11. Kids in grades 3 to 7 will be coached on basic snow science, first aid and winter packing essentials, as well as winter shelter building and compass/navigation practice.
Parents can take a break while the event is happening – just drop off the kids for the entirety of the program!
The free event will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the TCSAR Rescue Hangar. Pizza and goody bags will be provided.
