JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton Backcountry Alliance (TBCA) has welcomed seven new Volunteer Backcountry Ambassadors who will join existing BTNF Teton Pass Ambassadors Jay Pistono and Mike Penterson.
The individuals who were selected to TBCA as volunteers for the winter include Ariel Kazunas, Brian Siegfried, Anthony Campolattaro, Natalee Stimpson, Randy Roberts, Daniel Nagy, and Anna Gibson.
The purpose of Volunteer Backcountry Ambassadors is to serve as the “boots on the ground”, visiting with recreationists to provide information and helpful support at Teton Pass trailheads and the backcountry beyond.
Selected Volunteer Ambassadors will work at key locations, such as the Teton Pass corridor, to convey responsible recreation and safety information to users, provide area orientation, and assist visitors where needed. This program complements the on-going and outstanding work of Teton Pass Ambassador, Jay Pistono.
“TBCA is excited to have this team of community residents and backcountry enthusiasts to help promote our organization’s mission of public safety, community, stewardship, and sustainable access,” said Teton Backcountry Alliance in a post to Facebook on Tuesday. “If you see any of these smiling faces while you’re out and about, don’t hesitate to say hello, ask questions, and share reports of your backcountry experience.”
