JACKSON, Wyo. — One of the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce’s key objectives within their strategic plan is to “represent and engage our membership and the community on economic matters that impact them.”

Central to representing their membership is that they understand the value’s and opinion’s of their membership. Your opinion matters!

Please complete their three-minute survey here to share your stance on adding one additional cent to our current six-cent sales tax.

The survey closes on Friday, October 2 at 5 p.m. Referred to as the “General Penny,” estimates show that this tax will bring approximately $16MM annually for the Town and County.

Whether this tax becomes a reality will be determined by voters during the November 3 election. Visit the Town and County’s website for additional information.

ANNUAL REPORT

Like so many businesses in Jackson Hole, over the past year the Chamber saw several triumphs and successes, though it was not without obstacles. They invite you to read their 2019-2020 Annual Report that illustrates their efforts and accomplishments in the past fiscal year.

A quick snapshot:

  • They formed and led the Economic Recovery Task Force, comprised of 65+ business leaders, to help the Town and County create a vision for how to reopen the valley.
  • The Chamber presented in the weekly COVID-19 Community Update meetings along with representatives from St. John’s Health, Teton County Health Department, Jackson Town Council, Teton Board of County Commissioners and more.
  • They launched 22Local.com, a web platform for businesses to generate much-needed revenue in May.
  • Their virtual Business over Breakfasts set record attendance levels and hosted an expert webinar series to help members navigate financial assistance opportunities.
  • The Chamber has been the only operational seven days a week “visitor center” to provide much-needed information to Jackson’s visitors.
  • They resourced and distributed over 600,000 PPE to date. (If you need any *free* PPE, email info@jacksonholechamber.com.)
