JACKSON HOLE, WYO – In 37 years of celebrating Old West Days in Jackson Hole, you’ve never seen anything quite like Sip & See. Okay, full disclosure? That’s because this unique event has never before been offered at Old West Days.
While some attractions of a Wild West weekend are decades old (the Shootout on the Town Square turns 61 this weekend), Sip & See is a sure-to-please event added for the first time in the 37-year tradition of Old West Days.
After the parade, and the chuckwagon dinner, and the concerts, and the Brew Fest, and the Mountain Man Rendezvous—well, you’re going to need to unwind a little.
Treat yourself to a bit of Western refinement. On Sunday, May 27, from 12:30-3:30pm, come see local artists create right before your eyes on the Town Square. Live art demonstrations range from painting with gunpowder to painting on skulls!
Participating artists reads like a ‘who’s who’ list of Jackson Hole contemporary artisans. Danny Shervin, Lyndsay McCandless, Fred Kingwill, Emily Boespflug, John Springer, and Erick Nelson will all be on hand to display and sell their works.
Art always pairs best with wine. Jackson Hole Winery will be on location with fabulous selections by the glass and the Little Red Café will be there with food for purchase
The event is free.
Another Old West Days addition is two FREE showings of “Shane” the 1953 western classic filmed right here in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. “Shane” will be shown Saturday AND Sunday this weekend at 2:00 PM at the Jackson Hole Twin Cinemas. Free showings generously sponsored by Jackson Hole Cinemas.
